Every other month, our readership of approximately 20,000 South Africans and interested Americans living in the US and Canada enjoy the wit and wisdom of JULUKA. Readers represent a wide spectrum of professions, interests, and political views.
JULUKA's editorial covers a wide range of topics pertaining to the rainbow cultcha, including; political news, personal experiences, topical news, sport, legal advice, health, finance, recreational activities and events, recipes and travel. The magazine is designed to appeal to a diverse audience, providing both a forum for the exchange of ideas as well as a great resource for useful information and helpful advice.

Little Relief for Telephone Users in SA

After years of promise that liberalization and privatization would bring benefits to consumers and businesses alike, most South Africans are still reeling under high costs and a lack of competition.

In recent weeks Juluka has received reports from former South Africans, now holding US passports, that they were harassed upon entry to South Africa by immigration officials. These individuals were told by South African officials, in what they described as "a vindictive manner," that they could not enter the country on a non-South African passport and that they had "forced" their children to obtain citizenship of a foreign country. Some had even been denied entry and forced to return to their port of origin.


It seems that these travelers were unaware...
